E-Fax?!?!

So, my dad wants me to find out how to setup an E-Fax on the computer. Now I have little to no knowledge on fax machines, and I'm not too good with computers either.

So can someone tell me how this would work, and how I would set it up?

Last time I used my PC to fax anything was a few years back. I used some software that probably came with my dial up modem. I think a lot of standard dial up modems are fax modems and can send a document (.doc or .txt) to a regular fax machine. Its been a long time, and there may be an easier way now, but now you have a reply with some info.

So far I have a bunch of phone lines shooting all around this room, one to my dsl modem, a few to my phones, one to fax, and they're all connected to each or something...

Well I guess this needs another bump.
