...exactly my point. Unless this guy is a crook, then he didnt mess with his grades.

        think about it.

-two above average students in a class "full of idiots". If the teacher is gonna play favorites it probably would be directed at these two. teachers tend not to see eye to eye with slackers.(aka me)

also the mistake point was brought up. Very good possibility but im just thinking back to watching my dad do grades and the extreme care and caution so that it was all correct.

Moral of the Story is: Unless the teacher is dishonest and sloppy, id put my money on him getting the appropriate grades.

i still think what screwd him was not getting a progress report.

Clearly I didn't get the appropriate grade, otherwise I wouldn't have made a thread. I'm not in a class "full of idiots," and I never said I was.

1DE: My country / state doesn't do that unfortunately, so I only get a raised GPA from AP.

My parents don't know about it and neither are too much into my school stuff, well my Dad isn't and I'm not bringing my Mom into this.

The fact of the matter is that he gave us his verbal confirmation rather than a report, which we were fine with since it was only two of us and we didn't have many assignments.

ask for a breakdown of your grades. don't get hostile. just tell him that you thought you had done better. ask him to show you exactly how he figured out your grade and then try to reason with him once you've got it all laid out in front of you. whatever you do do not lose your temper. that makes people defensive and less likely to work with you to resolve the issue.

The issue isn't how my grades break down. The issue is that he told me I had one grade, but gave me another.

Well you need your parents support on this one. Since the teacher will not be there next year, you are going to have to most likely deal with your schools administration. Do it fast too! Do not wait!

Well if I understood correctly you are in 8th grade. In that case dont worry about it collages dont look at 8th grade, they start looking at late 9th grade through the rest of HIgh school, if you are in 9th grade make a confrence including the guidience teacher becasue he/she will not be happy with that teacher for makeing such a deal.

I called the Admin Friday and left a message (they aren't in on Fridays), so I should find out soon.

I already took a B freshmen year in Latin.

I'm shooting for very high level schools, ie Yale, Harvard, et al.

My father tought at both and went to yale. He said that you would be better off going to a smaller Ivey league school like cornell or dartmouth. He said at harvard and yale it will be very hard to get in but very easy to graduate. And you get tought by grad studebts instead of proffesors. At cornell or Dartmouth you would be tought by good teachers and they would have more rigerous courses, and would be harder to graduate. He said you would get a much better edjucation at a smaller school but if you want big go to a smaller Ivey leugue school. You may get more reccenition (sp) by going to Harvard but you will not have as much knowlege unless you want to be in their law school, becasue that is top notch. So I geuss my next wuestion is what do you want to study.
