I was just watching Adam Sandler's Midnight Golf on Spike TV (anybody else see this?). During a break, they had the Wild Boyz from MTV get shot by a BLINDFOLDED girl with a paintball gun! Of course, NOBODY was wearing a mask or even goggles, and there were many bystanders. They even spun her around a few times before turning her loose!
Budweiser not the only "bad guy" now!

If i didnt know anything about paintball and saw some guy with a marker and no mask... would i care? If no one got hurt then its a-o-k with me, I would like to see more paintball on TV.. even if it's on another Budweiser commercial. So long as no one gets hurt.
quikkk and i win. -
NOBODY had masks of any kind on! This includes the shooter, the 2 guys getting shot at, and all the people standing around watching. The shooter was also blindfolded and spun around several times to make her dizzy before giving her the marker. I find it amazing that nobody was (seriously) injured. Let me say this again - She was shooting paintballs in the middle of a crowded room while blindfolded and dizzy, and not one person had any form of eye protection on... Does this honestly sound responsible to you?
Anybody want to back me up on this one? Isn't it already hard enough to get your parents to let you play without them seeing this kind of stuff on TV?

But if you went to wally world or anywhere else for that matter and for some reason bought a paintball gun would you know that it would possibly hurt you extremely bad to get shot in the face without a mask? No, you would say that the boys on Wild Boys didn't where masks, why should I?Originally posted by t33kyboyIf i didnt know anything about paintball and saw some guy with a marker and no mask... would i care? I really dont see how this hurts our sport in anyway... Who cares i dont think i would see someone shooting a paintball gun on tv and say " Wow, that looks really dangerous I think meand my friends are gonna go light fire crackers and throw them at eachother instead"...
Manike-It's still early days. One thing for sure is that the future is going to be interesting, and we intend to be a BIG part of it.Comment

It gives people the idea that paintballers are wreckless.

does it? Just because some people on TV are acting stupid with paintball markers does it reflect on the whole paintball comunity? no. When you watch "wild boys" on MTV and they are doing stupid stuff around lions or alligators does it give you the idea that all animal enthusiasts (sp?) are wreckless and stupid, too? no. That's the point of that show, is to be stupid.Originally posted by MiniMag84It gives people the idea that paintballers are wreckless.
ehh.. just my opinion i guess..pie sucks

I agree with you, but not everyone is as open-minded as you or me.

geez some people are just like the stupid kids that write into apg every month explaining how they saw something and that does bad stuff to the sport...
if you arn't going to do anything about it, DON"T BRING IT UP! no one cares anymore, its like those people that do the smoking ads, no matter how hard they try, they arn't going to stop the millions of people from smoking and stop a multi billion coporation.Comment

If somone really takes Wild Boyz as an accurate representation of paintball, they are utterly beyond help. There is as little to worry about with this as there is for shopping cart exposure in CKY and Jackass. Popular mass media stupidity (Jackass, CKY, Wild Boyz, Viva La Bam, etc...) doesn't reflect negativatly on the impliments they use for stupidity.Comment

hmm not really, the muscle tissue around the eye is incredably thick, to the point where even in the movie die hard when he stabs the icecycle through the guys eye, it wouldnt normally pierce the tissue around and behind the eye leading intot he brain.

^i must concur... even tho it is a stupid show... look how many ppl copy it... "dont be like rocky, the paintball pooch - Always where your goggles" and still... i see the news... evil it is... no whole stories... i meen 1 person gettin hurt out of 901783123712313 will cause mass chaos to out sport.. even tho it is a little group of ungratefull little (u know what goes in this blank) out of a huge population of ppl who actually paintball.. this probably wont change anyones minds.. but thats my $.02... yea ppl need to go out and tell ppl these things... i actually saw in my newspaper a while ago.. something i liked... some of it wasnt tru but i liked it... a local field here had an article.. told about safety and stuff.. and about their buisiness(the fake stuff) but i liked it.. i wrote a letter to the editor about paintball.. havent seen it yet.. hopefully will soon.. but i wrote it after that lady and the co2 tank incident... u can probably guess what i said.. mostly that it doesnt happen all the time.. that was a once in a bigillion thing happening(its not a number i know.. but it sounds big).. well ive gone on too long.. check yalls latershiggidy shiggidy shwaComment
