I have norton anti virus and I run spysweeper alot. I am not worried about spyware.
I have decided I am going to buy more RAM. How do I find out what RAM my comp. is compatiable with?

Before you buy any memory, you should look in your HP manual and see just how much memory it can take. And what kind, your computer might still be using SDram and not DDR SDram, which is what you linked to from Newegg.

get to where he told you to go but click on the startup tab look all the ones that are running up at link below to see what exactly they are and if they can be disabled safetly.

the more service your system has running the more memory it uses
some of them you dont need some you do thats what that link will tell you
