I think I am going to buy more RAM. how much more should I buy and how do I install it?
Find compatible DRAM memory and SSD upgrades for your PC or Laptop with our Crucial Advisor tool or Crucial System Scanner.

Here's the link to the type of memory you need.

Be sure to open up your box to make sure that you have enough memory slots open.

Before you buy any memory, you should look in your HP manual and see just how much memory it can take. And what kind, your computer might still be using SDram and not DDR SDram, which is what you linked to from Newegg.

Maybe someone can PM me why my sig was tampered
with when my image is below 20 kb and was 350x159.(20435 bytes/1024 bytes per kb = 19.96 kb.)

Dude, I'm here to save you...I just happen to have 256MB of SD RAM that I can sell you for $25 shipped! All together you'd have 348MB of RAM and that will be plenty. LMK

get to where he told you to go but click on the startup tab look all the ones that are running up at link below to see what exactly they are and if they can be disabled safetly.

the more service your system has running the more memory it uses
some of them you dont need some you do thats what that link will tell you

                          EDIT+
you want to disable under the startup tap with link above not services
leave them alone or search on google on what they do.
