In case y'all didn't notice, AL Queda wants to OVERTHROW the Saudi gov't! The Saudi Gov't is not going to fund them. It's the charities in Saudi Arabia that were funnelling money to Bin Laden in the greatest amounts!

You can't read what's blacked out. The US senator as much as openly stated on the CBC report that every blacked out line and page covered the Bush, Saudi Royal Family, Bin Laden family, and Al-Quieda connections.

stupid Michael Moore.... Now all us old skool liberals have our own new breed of weirdos.

I would assume that Saudi Arabia does not support AQ, or BL. The Saudi regime/govt is one of the main enemies of AQ and BL. They have been actively engaged in hostilities for several years.

The saudi ties detailed in House of Saud relate to business relations between the Bush family and Saudi royals. Not political connections per se...

Speaking of conspiracies, y'all hear about the potential for elections to be postponed if a major terror incident occurs near Nov. Bush has had legal eagles to look into it...
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

That is not true. Go read it. There is no blanked out pages in that last release of interm report. Clearly says no government ties can be found. Get your facts from facts. Not what you "hear"...

And what makes you think I'd subscribe to any of that nonsense? Are you incapable of absorbing nuanced view points or understanding that politics and human nature are not black or white/good or evil?

There's a HUGE range between good and evil and few absolute truths.

Small minds label and base their outlook on simplistic dogma and rhetoric. That goes for Moore and Limbaugh.

Saudi Arabia has a LOT to answer for. If you can't see that you've got your head up your backend.

But, you wouldn't want to risk Saudi investment capital now would you.

And a link is pretty evident:

That's a far stronger link than the pathetic "evidence" of links between Saddam and al Qaeda.

And the reason that Osama hates the Saudi Royl family is because they asked the Americans to fight Saddam in the first gulf war and let them stay afterwards. MAJOR funding of Osama and the extremist religious movements he depends on for recruits came from the Saudi royals. The extremist religious movements are STILL funded with Saudi cash.

I don't believe in the conspiracy theories but I do believe it was partially mass incompetence. The rest, well...

And seven minutes of dumbfounded silence IS NOT what I want from my leader when my country is attacked.

I could agree with a lot said in both those articles. I already said I can't stand Moore. Can't stand loons no matter what their political agenda is.

But they don't address the Saudi involvement.

And don't get me wrong. I'm happy everytime one of the terrorists is caught. But doesn't mean I'm in agreement with the approach, it's execution, or the priorities being used.

Bush getting up and running out without full details of what is going on makes so much more sense theny staying calm in front of little kids and gethering more info.

As for Al Queda, again, one of their stated goals is to overthrow the house of Saud so why would they support it?

Finally, Moore is full of crap about the business connections. As CNN already pointed out, Bush Sr. joined the board of a defense company 18 months after the House of Saud sold their interest in it. THat is as close as he came. I guess by his reasoning, Mobil is guilty of the Exxon Valdez spill then?
