    Good headphones? (For computer)

    Since I'm going to be living in the comfort of a dorm room soon, I plan on investing in a good pair of headphones. Since they'd pretty much be replacing the speakers I would be buying anyways, I'd be spending over a 100 on them if needed.

    Size doesn't matter..

      i would recommend any good pair of Grado Pioneer or Seihesser(sp) but to each there own... and do you have a good audio systom on your computer?

          I have some RCA wireless headphones that I got off ebay for about 20 bucks refurbished that I love. Their MSRP is 100 bucks so I figured it was a good deal. http://www.rca.com/product/viewdetai...CI211,00.html?

          I dont know about sound quality, sounds great to me, but I'm no audiophile. The main reason I bought them is my past few headphones have been so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them while I'm at the computer, so I stand up and jerk the cord.. after that happens about 50 times the wires become loose and they stop working unless you fiddle with them.. I lost many a good pair.. it was my fault of corse. Anyway I'm happy with these and I can wonder around the house and still get decent reception.. I can listen to mp3s while I'm on the crapper! woot!

              so true... unless you like the sound of music and you are an audiophile then step into the $100+ range... otherwise a good pair of $40-$60 will be just fine.

                  I second the recommendation on the Sennheiser's or the Grado's.

                  When I'm at work I have a pair of Sennheiser HD477's (by no means their best product), but for dealing with the crappy output of a PC soundcard w/o a separate amp they are pretty good. But, I would recommend going higher up the chain if these are going to be your primary listening devices.

                  I would very highly recommend the Grado SR-60's. Unbelievable all-around sound.

                  Etymotics also puts out some good pairs of cans.
