I'm farily new to this site. Will someone tell me what it means when someone says "up"?? Would it be an insult if I told someone "down"? If so, then I'll be sure to insult everyone more often, even if I think the gun is cool. Hmmmm... so, if I say "down", that'll mean your gun sucks monkey balls and you yourself aren't worth more than a stone.
What is this 'Up' thing?

So, why do I see all too often a poster say "free up for you" to a seller, and the seller's reply is always "Thanks, man!". I understand the exchange, but it just seems retarded for someone to come along and tell everyone to look at the first post at the top of the page, when that should be the seller's responsibility.Originally posted by Wc Keepusually it means up to the top of the page.Comment

Right. What if it is? Is it necessary to reply to your own post or for someone else to reply to your own post saying, "up-up-up!" or "free up, man!"??Originally posted by Wc Keepsay im trying to sell a gun, i want it to be at the top of the page so that it gets the most views.
That was a retorical question.
In other words, no, it is not. People aren't stupid. When they click on a post they first see the seller's ad, then scroll through all of the bull crap other people have posted, including the "free up, man!" posts.Comment

when you have somthing forsale you want it on the top of the page...so you type an "up" on there just to send it to the top...
....now when someone else says free up or somthing like that it means they like your gun but don't really want to own it...or sometimes its the sellers friend that says it just giving another opionon on the gun because they may have shot it before..
hope this helps

every time there is a new post in a thread, it moves that thread to the top of the first page. A lot of people never read page 2 or higher, they just read the posts on the first page. If your thread happens to fall to the second page, a person will uaually reply to their own thread to force it back to the top of the first page so more people will see it.

Then explain this expression to me: "Automag with all of the ups...". You see, to me this is more lame and lazy talk only 12 to 16 year old kids do nowadays. It's like Ebonics, but for young, stupid white kids who don't care to type things out.Originally posted by Muzikmanevery time there is a new post in a thread, it moves that thread to the top of the first page. When you see Upped Timmy or Shocker with ups, it means upgrades. If it's just up, or free up, or something, it's the same as a bump [Bring Up My Post]SwallowBleach: It's good for you.
