You're correct, there is no hammer. There is a bolt in my design, but I can't be sure of what psi it runs at, seeing that it's a magnetic field. I don't see how it could be detailed more, after all it is MS Paint. Any and all help is appreciated.

Back to the original question... What if you treated the magnet as the core of an electromagnet? BTW I didn't really study the design throroughly so I don't know if this is practical for your idea. But what if you wrapped the magnet in wire? Wouldn't the polarity kinda go down as the amount of electricity that passed through the wire increased, and then eventually flip poles? A slight amount of magnetism already there shouldn't keep an electromagnet style magnet from working. They might work against each other, but they could theoretically move. BTW, that's right about not being able to repel metal with magnets. Good luck!

I just found that it's possible to make it work like a speaker. What do you all think? On a separate subject, at about what psi would be suitable to propel a paintball at 300 fps?
