can some tell me how to set up, what i need to buy and all?

I have no idea on what i need or anything...eh?


the cables, internet block that attaches to the back, im all lost

also at eb games the guy showed me the attachment that i need for the back and a disc that went along with it, does the disc come in the package at the store because it doesn't look like it would fit

depending on your internet connection you either need an eithernet cable (cable internet)
or
a phone line if your using crappy dialup

That 40 internet package is the first thing to get your started. If you are using dsl or cable or something like that, you'll need a router(if you don't have it already), You need cable to run from the router, or wireless connections things.
But anyway, you take the thing out of the box, and you take off the piece in the back of your PS2 that says expansion box or something like that, you'll open it up and it will be empty place, Take the internet box and put it on, Sony tells you to screw that one small screw in with a penny and do not overtighten it. Then will be a yellow sticker on the back. It is covering the enthernet or dsl cable slot, I moved it over so it then covered the 56k slot and had the dsl one open. Just easier to plug in and go ans not be like which one to plug it into.
Anyway, throw the startup disc in and it will take your through the setup steps, you need memory card space!!! You go through, when I didn't know the answer I would pick the one that said it is usually this one:. It's not very hard to do.

Well you can buy a router if you want to be on the computer internet and play the game at the same time. If you don't care about that you won't need a router and more wires.

Router-A router, you take the internet connect you have, it's a box with more outlets, so you can take and hookup internet on multiple computers at once.

Just so you know, If you have a Linksys(SP?) router, Wal-Mart around here sells a wireless adapter that just fits into the DSL/CABLE slot on the internet adapter for PS2. I wish I had that for my XBOX, but i have Netgear.

ea sports games are difficult to play the games on but boy are they awesome to play online
