personally i dont like echo, but steam infact does blow.

it is very very poorly coded and takes forever to sign on with buddy lists and such.
and it brought the death to cs 1.5 (the best CS ever) 1.6 is just too easy and renamed all the guns.

Steam itself has nothing to do with CS 1.6, it was simply the way valve decided to push Steam. Nothing wrong with that, you can still run CS 1.5, even via steam.

Steam also has nothing to do with VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat). We had VAC before Steam. Steam just simplified the patching problem and sdded some VAC capabilities.

Steam is a great concept, the execution left a lot to be desired at times.

I'm not seeing any problems with it.

I've been using steam since it came out and have had no problems with it that werent fixed by a quick search on the steam powered forums. It takes like 2 seconds, why dont you try it?
Steam is the ultimate destination for playing, discussing, and creating games.

It's decent to help learn 'walking the trigger' with your mouse.. that's about it. Nice effort though.
