Paintball (vs Golf) - Business Group

I wondered if there are many other people who do any networking via paintball.

I do government and consutling business development. I now know another person that does government business development, plus a couple of VP's from other firms.

    Company: MRE
    Commercial: IT and Energy Consulting
Government: Major focuses NASA and Tinker/OK. Also FAA, USCG, DOE.

never miss a networking opp, eh?

I work for a small full-service marketing agency. We do all aspects of marketing, but our bread and butter is print, i.e. sales collateral, POP displays, Direct Response pieces and the like. Some TV and radio, but only a little. Client base is fairly diverse, including financial institutions, medical technology and consumer products.

I would imagine it would be tough to carry on a business related conversation on the field, vs. driving around in a golf cart/walking the course...

Networking would be tough. We have used paintball as a team building tool though!

I dunno, I met a Titliest (golf clubs, sicko ) sales rep playing PB. Not a great contact in my particular industry, but a great contact for a new set of clubs .

Networking is a balance between being overly frisky, and just standing in the corner. Everyone likes to meet a new bud, so I usually just roll with it. "So what do you do?" usually takes all of 5 mins in the staging area to get to.
