    Pyro! Need some 'Maro help...

I'm looking for a good, fast, cheap car and found an 83 iroc-z for sale that is about 4 hours away. The body is in good shape (55k miles) but needs some serious paint work due to the over-sized cowl hood. The interior is ok but not great.

The engine is a beast, here's the specs:

    Re-Built 355
    early corvette 2.02's
    5 angle valve job
    ported and polished
    1.6 roller rockers
    comp engineering cam
    pete jackson gear drive
    holly 750
    msd and crane ignition
moroso high volume high pressure oil pump
    holly blue fuel pump
    edelbrock air gap intake
    blue printed and balanced
    b&m ratchet shifter
    700r4 tranny
    355 posi rear
    3" fully stainless exhaust
    flowmaster mufflers

    He claims 425hp.

He says there's only about 500 miles on the motor and it runs beautifully. He says it runs fine on pump gas and can been driven daily no problems whatsoever.

Basically, is this car worth $2,000?

PS: It has a roll cage...

2000 sounds like a pretty good deal. I'm not a camaro expert or anything, but he's prolly got at least half that in the motor alone. Make sure the body has no rust if the paint is messed up. Painting isn't a real big deal, fixing rust is a major pain in the arse.

    Just my 2c.
