Uh, does everyone have folks that dont trust you?

I take alot of crap from my folks... they think they know what I'm thinking and its pretty pathetic sometimes. Its really messed up they never trust me, I don't even know why they brother asking me quiestins anymore and just act on what they know(ignorantly speculate). They also treate me like a little kid that thinks he knows everything, but thats another story haha
    I'm just interisted to know.
So does anyone else have folks like this? Hopefully I'm dealing with sterotype folks.

Chances are you are a little kid who thinks he knows everything....

Your folks are just lookin for the best of ya. Mine haven't trusted me since I was about 5. Or you can just tell em straight up that you'll do whatever you want. Most ppl I know pulled that at about 12 or 13.

Mine don't trust me either its ok. Seriously my mom thinks I only care about paintball when I should be thinking about college and my grades and a crap load of other things. She doesn't know I live life to the fullest day by day and I don't plan things that well I just let things fall into place. Ill go to college and stuff but I don't wanna be talking about this stuff a year early unless I wanna talk about it.

Ok i'm just throwing random **** out...

They don't trust you because they were kids once too who lied to their parents, and they expect the same of you. My parents trust me, but they're weird (guess I am too, since I've actually earned their trust), but I don't think most parents trust their kids, and with good reason.
However, if your parents don't ever trust anything you say then you should find out why. If you can't figure it out on your own ask them (OMG talking to my parents?!?!??! KOS!!!!), if you don't think their reason is good enough, tell them (notice I said TELL, not scream ).
              Anyway, good luck.

How old are you? My parents started trusting me when I turned 17. They only ask where I'm going, not the address and phone # and other bs. I guess it helps to be honest. If I'm going to a party or somthin I just tell em. I no longer have a curfew either, just come home when I come home.

                    daggum whippersnappers!

                    yeah, that's right.

No, they don't trust you. Would You? Have you given them any reasons TO trust you? Notice, not, 'any reason not to trust you'

It's like respect. It's earned, not given.

You don't want to end up living in your parents basement/garage, do ya? So, neither do they (trust me) and it's their job to ensure you succeed.

I think parents should spend less time worrying if their child is having a 'perfect' childhood, and more time making them competent adults...

                    Natch?

                    *I'm 23, and no kids*
God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

Yeah I'm aware of that sterotype... I really don't think thats the case. Although I would probably give the same advice. I know thats what my dad thinks, its like he'd rather kill himself then ever let me think I'm smart haha, eh.
I've mathmatically calculated my folks have underestimated my maturity(bare with me here when I use that word) by 8 entire years.

My folks really don't know anything about my life, I really brought myself up having a good understanding from what is right and wrong. Its pretty unfair to judge me. They really annoy me everyday asking how was school. All the kids are from the ghetto, and there only motive is from criminals. So baiscally I go to school with a bunch of wannab criminals, then come home to my loving parents dying to know how my great day at school went, and why I don't part my hair and get As.

my god......... you really dont know how good you have it do you? half of the kids in this country could only dream of having parents that do that. you need a reality check man, you you should see how people in other countries have it, especially iraq.

and dont say i dont know what im talking about, ive been there, and ive been in your shoes too.

it really sickens me to see you write that

Hey man unless you're one of those "wannab criminals" than you dont got an excuse for not having straight As.
