Wow, the second thread based purely on opinion and then passed off as fact in 2 days!

First of all, just because you don't like a band of music genre doesn't automatically mean they have no talent. They got to where they are because people like them. That doesn't mean that they have as much talent as Metallica, but it does mean that they have a sound that people like.

Second, a lot of bands may not have much talent, like emo bands, but they do have lyrics that teenagers can relate to and like. Chris Cabarra may not have lengthy guitar solos and crazy guitar riffs, but he connects with teenagers and gives them music that mirrors their thoughts.

Third, everybody has different tastes, much dependant on their environment and what they were brought up listening to. There is no one pure music that everybody likes, it jsut cannot be.

linkin park is comprised of an undersized, pre-pubescant poser who screams in the absolute worst tone ever into a computer, some wannabe rapper who talks alot, a guy who hits drums in no rhythm or order, and another guy who bastardizes the very point of even having a freakin guitar. they are the worst sack of synthetic trash bags that ever existed. they are a disgrace the music industry and they can eat it.

on a much more positive note, no pun intended, listen to something that doesnt suck- i.e- ozzy, metallica, or rage. all of which have very good guitar and very good vocals... that arent fake.

naw, that's not being "easily pleased". That's being reasonable and sane. If music is good, then it's good. If music is bad, then it's bad.

If Nickleback ever comes out with a good song(don't hold your breath), I'll listen to it. However, until then, Nickleback stays in my "Bands that could rape me before I listened to them voluntarily" pile.

and another,i cant stna dthose POS bands like dave amtthews,john mayer and all them where they sound like there crying or dying one,theyd make anyone want to kill them selves

You guys should check out a band called Big Black, its Steve Albeni(sp) on guitar and vocals, another dude on bass (cant remember his name) and a drum machine set on the highest BPM setting. From the late 80's very unique my all time fav Big Black album is "Songs About F***ing" and "Hammer Party" is a close 2nd. great lyrics like " I would like to wrap your hair around your neck like a noose.... I would ike to wrap ur legs around my neck like a lock" If you dig em cool if you think they suck thats cool as well. I never understood why somepeople center their lives around music, they are just bloody musicians!!!! Listen to what u like and if people tell you your music sucks turn it up louder to drown them out.
