    Iv'e heard about bugs in computers but this is ridicolus

    ok, so last night I was looking at my monitor when I noticed that 4 pixels were dead. Later on these four pixels started to move around my monitor where they wanted. We have been plagued with little black fly all this summer and I have discovered that that is what it is. I have a bug (fly) in my computer, well moniter.

    How can I get it out, it is really annoying

    btw it's a apple pro 20" lcd monitor

          hell if its under warrenty send it in

          most lcd warrenties are if there is one dead pixel in the middle of the screen its a replacement.

          let them deal with it.

          if its not under warrenty......umm goodluck. maybe shake it???

          lol thats funny

            Leave it on. Eventually the fly will fry then decompose!

                The 20" Cinema has a lot of pixels.

                Pixels are small. Flys are big when compared to pixels. How sure are you it's a fly? Send it to Apple anyways. You might get lucky and get the new one.

                  Bugs

                  Guess how computer bugs got the name. - http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/i...0/h96566kc.htm

                  Photo #: NH 96566-KN (Color)

                  The First "Computer Bug"

                  Moth found trapped between points at Relay # 70, Panel F, of the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator while it was being tested at Harvard University, 9 September 1945. The operators affixed the moth to the computer log, with the entry: "First actual case of bug being found". They put out the word that they had "debugged" the machine, thus introducing the term "debugging a computer program".
                  In 1988, the log, with the moth still taped by the entry, was in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Computer Museum at Dahlgren, Virginia.

                    it's happened before!

                    In a macaddict magazine a few years ago, some guy submitted a picture of a fly inside one of the legs of his apple studio display. If I can find the magazine, I'll scan it for you. Could be a strange quality control problem.
