I got robbed the day I graduated high school. Came home and my back door was open with a string of tapes and albums across the back yard.

The robbers were supposed friends of mine. They knew we would be gone and cleaned us out. They even took time to eat a donut and drink cokes while they were there.

The worst thing about the whole deal was that we didn't catch them the first time. They waited until we got the insurance settlement and came back again. Lucky for us they got caught that time by a neighbor while attempting to kick in the back door.

i got a black lab in 1 room a lab/rot mix in the living room with her sister peanut my pitbull I feel bad for someone coming into my house unannounced,you can run from one but the other 2 will get ya

Just to tell you, labs are the ultimate watch dog. They will watch the burgalur come into your house and pick up all of the stuff then watch him leave. Depending on how nice your lab is it may help the guy carry the stuff out.
The pitbull might get him though.


So, if you want a dog to protect, train yourself a nice Rottwieler. They can be the nicest dog in the world but if you train them right they can take care of people you don't prefer to be around.

I have a lab pitbull mix that would go after anyone who came into our house without us or tht my dog didnt know. My golden retriever on the other hand would roll onto his back looking for a belly rub fromt he robber. What u should do is park your car outside and if the people come back hit the panic buton on your car and see if u can scare them.

I lived! Yeah any smart robber would come to my street though seriously. It is just all old people and nothing ever happens. I have a 90 lb golden retriever, she will bark like crazy if someone is outside and when they come to the door she runs. Good watch dog

Ill let you barrow my Akita for a few days :) For all you who dont know what that is i think its the chinese fighting dog...or japanese fighing dog not sure...he is an absolute monster! My freinds call him the bear, hes bigger than any rot you have, or any other dog. And hes not aftraid to bite anyone...accept me :) becuase my dog loves me, but hes the greatest watch dog you can ever have...ill rent him out to you. He will anyone... (dam bannana)

i had an akita when i was little, he was the coolest dog, my dad got him from a friend that had to move to a place that didn't allow dogs. but the reason my dad got rocky (the dog not the movie, but he was named after it) the guy that used to own him had kids and the kids would play in the yard, but when someone got to close to them he would get between the kids and the jogger or who ever. but one time a jogger got to close to the kids and rocky tackled him and stood on top of him, with his jaw on the guys shoulder/neck.

also akitas where trained to fight off bears, and other animals, but later people used them as fighting dogs. they are cool and i want another but i have my old dog sam (parent got him as a replacement once rocky died, and all of his pups where sold, yea he had a way with the b****es, girl dogs for the late). and we now have sam, and three other rat terriers, and the youngerst rat just gave birth to four boy rats on wednesday. (the pups with be for sale in a few months, but i will do a new thread with pics of the pups if you guys want)

Yeah man, there are MUCH better houses to steal from than the kind you or I live in... This town has so many rich neighborhoods to steal from, ours would be a waste in comparison.

Still, I always keep an eye out when I see suspicious stuff like that. I've even written down license plates when I see somone driving crazy, looking really disturbed, or looks guilty of something. You never know when it might come in handy...

My Bros dog does the same thing. In fact his house was broken into. We theorize that the two dogs fought over the tennis ball that the guy probably had to throw a couple times to get them to leave them alone.
