AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Ooo, Ooo, buy one of the Lance Armstrong replica bikes. Carbon Fiber, covered in real gold leaf. I think they go for about 10 grand a piece. Haha, just kidding. I'm a mountain biker, but from past expierience, go with trek. They build great bikes, and if something does go wrong, thier customer support and dealers are top notch.
Treks are nice, and their sheer sales volume allows them to give you pretty good bang for your buck. You might even be able to pick up a carbon fiber model from last year for $1100.
If you prefer steel, Lemond (owned by Trek) makes some very nice Reynolds frames that come nicely equipped for $1100.
If you want to stay out from under the Trek umbrella, Cannondales are nice, as is the Specialized line. If you don't mind Campy components, there's Bianchi to choose from, as well.
Basically, if you stick with big names you won't get ripped off. But make sure you test ride everything. A Reynolds 853 frame with Lemond geometry will feel like a completely different beast than an Optimo frame from Cannondale, which will in turn be worlds apart from Trek OCLV.
I need a bik too. I let my bro use my bike and he left it just sitting out in the open on a pretty busy street and it got jacked, so now I'm bike-less. I can use my sisters, it a nice cannondale mountain bike, but when she gets back from Germany I wont have a bike at all. Hopefully my dad will get me one, birthday or something.
Sorry man.... didn't mean to kill on your link. I thought that they were more than 7 grand? Thats what someone told me. O well, I want one.... just need seven grand....
