Car Audio Upgrades - Are these any good?

the main speaker should go in fine, it is the tweeter that is trouble for most. in my neon, i have stock 3 1/2" tweeters, so when i get my componets i can just pop them there, or get creative with them and mount them in my a pillars like i would like to do anyway. the install is one of the main reasons i would sugguest going to an audio shop cause they know exactly whats going on in there, and tend to do a better job on install where as most may just twist or tape the wiring up, a good audio shop should soter the conections. plus if anything goes wrong you have real people to go to, not over the computer or phone tech people who couldn't careless, so i find that a plus.

Im about to buy infinty references for my truck and my friend ahs a pair in his CRX and they sound wonderfull off his alpine amp.

Shop around. Thats my big suggeston.

heres what you shoul look at stats wise.

watts RMS. The higher the more power the can handle continiously. Those refernces have a 2-100rms with a 300 peak..thats insane. Your goign to want an amp for those.
sensitivity. You really want at least 90db 92 is the norm and what ur refernces have. Never buy if it says 80 something
frequency response. The larger the range the better. The norm is 50hz to 20khz. The references your looking at range 46-21khz. pretty good.

I have never heard that circular cone have less distortion than cylindical. If this is indeed true you can get a bracket that converts ur 6x9 mounts to 5 and 1/4 or 6 and 1/2.

Im buying 5x7/6x8 Infinity references for my ranger and ill be payng prolly 70 a pair.

Good wiring is key to. I mean think about, you can have the nicest amp, sub, speakers & tweeters, but if the wires the juice is flowing through ain't big enough or nice enough, you won't reach the full pontential of your system.


And don't get me wrong, you can have a nice system and not have upped wiring, but you just won't reach the peak perforance. Plus, good wiring can't be more then $100 fo a kit.
