I figured doom 3 would be involved in this thread some how, jsut by the title. Hmm have fun wiht those, i lvoe 1942, but recently was given battlefield vietnam by a firend and for some reason i jsut dont like it as much. Farcry is really fun, great game.

Only reason I grabbed quake 3 is I lost the original disc + CD and wanted to have a copy for LAN Parties. Plus it was only 5 bucks... Doom was 55... Farcry and the BF1942 pack was 40.

I'm scared as hell after playing Doom 3... I played my own music and with speakers up decently loud... only light is natural light (Not much) and I just about shat myself... only played 30 minutes too...

Gotta install the others, I have BF:V as well, I just didn't enjoy it as much. Doom 3 looks freaking awesome and is scary as hell.

wow hows doom??? i am thinking about getting it when it comes to xbox my computer will quite soo fast if i played computer games on it

I'd only recommend it for the computer unless you have keyboard + mouse for xbox. You really need to have some fast reactions.

I'm playing on the easiest and I'm scared ****less... it's hard... scary... and still keeping me in the game, every room looks new (Except when you have to go back) but even then it's changing, the physics and graphics are awesome.

Sometimes you'll walk into a room and see some ammo on a table with a corpse laying off to the side, suddenly the corpse will come alive and start smacking you... or other times you'll walk into a room and the lights will go out and you'll start getting attacked.

Just freaky man, it's an awesome game and I've only played 30 minutes before I shut it off because I was afraid Right now I'm installing Far Cry, going to see how that works... after I play some Single/Multiplayer I'm going to install BF:1942 then probably Vietnam, check out that Desert Combat (My friend made models for that mod)

I recommend Doom, and I've only been playing for 30 minutes...

yeah my friend got doom 3 and he was playing during the day, i was sitting right next to him jumping almost as much as he was. its definatly spooky, but the graphix = teh awesomeist ever. min sys req = 1.5 ghz + 384mb ram

Play Doom 3 on Veteran. There's not that many more people and I don't think it takes much more to kill them, you just take alot more damage per hit.

I <3 Quake 3. Been playing it since it first came out(and played Quake 2 before that). BF1942 isn't my favorite, but it's cool. Never Tried FarCry, Might have to 'borrow' a copy to see if I like it enough to buy it.
