Cryer is absolutely right about the girl that "might have liked you." and your previous "interest" or whatever she was is ticked you have someone else so she wants to screw your current relationship up so she can feel better about herself. and you're right, now that you're unavailable, women come out of the wood work looking for you. just find the "one" that you click with and stick with her. if you hang out with any of the other two, make it in public with a group of people. if you go to the movies, don't sit next to them, "bad" things might happen...
on the other hand, you're only 17, there are PLENTY fishes in the sea, have fun, take your lumps when you get caught, and try and learn from your mistakes.Comment

In this sense, its a figure of speech- An analogy.
InfinityBPS is using it here in a loose, metaphorical sense.
You hear it more often in literal context in more arid parts of the country, in which it seldom rains, but when it does, it rains hard (like West Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, etc).
By using the phrase in this context, InfinityBPS means to say that members of the opposite sex, on average, do not seem to pay attention to him (for whatever reason... Maybe he doesnt shower often enough for their tastes
), but now he oddly enough finds himself on the opposite end of the spectrum, as the Object of Affection, not of 1, but 3 girls.

I have had one of these go bad on me, of course, but honestly, it was worth it! I don't remember if I took relationships this seriously when I was 17. Hell, I'm 23 now, and I probably take them LESS seriously.
All you older AO'ers are giving him entirely wrong advice. Let the kid have some fun, drag his toy in the mud.
Be forewarned, it does seem to come and go in cycles. Someone hit the nail on the head by saying when you're taken, gals can tell. It puts them on the offensive, and puts the ball in your court for a while.
