Am I a victim of USPS BS?

Hrmmm, well let's see here.

I shipped out a RogueRail to GA Devil last monday via USPS First Class (which I frequently use and have had no trouble with) w/o any deliv. conf. or insurance because I've just never really needed it because I've had no problems with USPS.

Anyhow, it's a been a week now, and he still hasn't received the rail that I shipped to him. It shouldn't take a week for a small package shipped First Class from VA to GA to arrive should it? Seems like 3-4 days tops is all it usually takes when usnig first class.

I dunno, anyone had any personal experiences of First Class taking a super long time so that I can maybe stop worrying a bit, lol.

That should take 2-3 days tops. I've had troubles with USPS in the past, now if I do anything with them, its with delivery confirmation, insurance, etc.

I once sent $200 in MO to a friend in Arizona via priority... Figured a 3-day travel time. a week and a half later, still no cash, so I send another 200 MO with confirmation, etc. the second MO showed up at his house in 2 days, the first ended up coming back to my door, crumpled and creased, almost a month later. I checked the address and that wasnt the problem... Postage was correct, ect. I ended up narrowing the source of my troubles to USPS's ineptitude

I have never ever had a problem with USPS first class, everything ALWAYS arrives within four days at the MOST, no matter WHERE in the country I'm shipping to or WHEN I ship it. You should probably start really worrying about money that you've lost forever and ever and have no hope of getting back. Ever.

Sometimes first class is slow. I've had stuff take a month to ship and other times it's just a couple days. I only use priority now so I know exactly when it is going to arrive.

To bad I don't have another RogueRail in stock to send out I should prolly order more.

Have you talked to the USPS office about it? they may be able to shed some light on it... Maybe even find the package, tell you where it is.

Nah, I haven't tried anything of the sort quite yet... Going to the PO to sort out problems is like going to the DMV to get a drivers license for some reason. Completely unhelpful imbassils(sp?) that couldn't help you locate a stamp.

yes yes this happen to me i sold a barrel to lopxtc and i didnt insure or got conformation on it and he got it a month later

we had to pay back each other 2 times so i dont know if i was luckey but he may get it in a long time or never get it??? the post office really cant do anything about it. that kinda sucks though. but you should next time insure and get dilivery conformation on it its only 2 bucks more.

Sent a rail drop all the way across the country in an envelope. Two weeks later a ripped up envelope returns with no rail drop. Now I recommend all buyers purchase insurance and delivery confirmation. Also recently learned there are some rules with insurance. (1)Nothing must move in the package, use a lot of stuffing. (2)If sending electronics they must be in their original box.

Now I make sure all my packaging is done correctly, other than that I've had no other problems with USPS. Wish I still had a discount with Airborne Express, they were the best.

Iv only had like 1 problem with USPS, that was shipping something to NJ, I sent it priority, with delivery confirmation, it got there in 2 weeks. Whenever I ship something to someone, I encourage them to get delivery confirmation, priority, so they and I can track the package, if the dont want to use priority, I tell them it can take anywhere from 2-14 business days.

Hrmmm, ok so it seems that USPS can just at times be really flakey at getting items to places on time... Makes me rest a lil' bit better. We will see if it ever ends up in the correct destination.

i got burned the same way with usps now i only shipped with ups or fedex.

well you werent screwed..it got to me yesterday. Told ya it would make it. Its just the main reason I never send USPS unless a customer asks for it. But its here so no worries.
