BTW let's not make this into a flame thread, just showing pertinent news. The man was my mayor for many years and he did an EXCELLENT job, and I would love to have him back as mayor any time. I just don't know what happened to him when he ran for governor. Very sad day....

Why is the wife still holding his hand? I would imagine she would be extremely po'ed, disgusted and thinking "OMG, am I that bad of a wife that I turned him gay?"

I see in the future alot of news coverage, more governers, senators, etc coming out and a lot of protests. Sounds like another day in the USA.

How can you say he was an Excellent Governer? He is passing or passed a legislature to tax plastic surgery, they wanted to impose a luxury tax on all non critical surgery because they say only the rich can afford it. Now doctors are having a hard time in NJ, losing money and business and NJ lost even more revenue, he raised property taxes by thousands of dollars, and a new tax for people who buy a house over $500,000 or something has to pay an insane amount of money in tax and other various bs, took away many homested rebates, etc etc etc. Im so glad we only have untill Feb 15 to deal with this so called governer, if you listen to the Jersey Guys you will hear all about the messed up things this man has done to our state, they even nick-named him pinochio Im not trying to bring up trouble but to let people out of NJ know, he wasnt that great. And not to mention hes a discrace to his family, he has a child and a wife

McGreedy has done less for NJ in the past couple of years than my 10 year old brother has. Except embarass us and encourage corruption, etc..

Thank god he is gon he had to be the worst gov in NJ. He ranks up there with Jim Florio.

He has two children by his second (present) wife.

And he was it seems being threatened with extorsion to reveil it. One by a former aid who was claiming sexual harrasment. And he had indeed associated with people involved in lots of legal issues. So all that sort of came to a head. It became impossible for him to keep his sexuality a secret. And it was being used against him it seems.

lol I was about to say that you got me wrong on my previous post, but you got it correct...

the change from what he was as my mayor, and what he became, is a complete turnaround.. although, contrary to other people in this post, he did do alot of goor for NJ while governor....

1) he helped senior citizens by lowering their real estate taxes
2) He helped veterans benefits by increasing them to the largest amount in most of the states
3) He lowered taxes for the middle class, the most important class in the U.S. (in my opinion, of course)
4) Improve the motor Vehicle Comission 1000%!!!! (if you live in NJ you know this is true)
5) Although i don't know exactly what he has done for the environment, i know that he was a progressive on that matter, as am I ...


That is just a short list, although there are many things he has done that are a con... i am not defending him, just brining up some good points... Discuss...

I don't want to hijack my own thread, but regarding the homestead rebates, he took them away from those that didn't need them, and i agree with it 100% The homestead rebates were to help the lower and middle class, not give the rich more money... something they don't need

Courage my butt. He is about to be sued by Golan Cipel for sexual harrassment. THis is the Israeli Citizen that McGreevy tried to make head of NJ's homeland defense strategy. Mr. Cipel could not even get security clearance.
