Alien vs. Predator

Just saw it tonight (at the 12:01 sneak preview ) and wanted to be the first to start a thread on it. I thought it was AWESOME!!! Good, high budget special effects, action movie. Plot wasn't that great, but what were you expecting. It wasn't actually as cheesy as I thought it was gonna be either. Well, what do you guys think? Definately worth seeing 2 or 3 times in theaters, and buying the DVD. But then again I am a big time Aliens and Predator fan

GO SEE IT ... seriously its quite possibly the best take on the AvP storyline that can be adapted for the entery level movie goer.

Oh yeah... and its that damn good.

Saw it a few hours ago... not that good for me, I expected the battle scenes to be different, alot different. I'd give it a 5/10. Then again, hardly any movies impress me lately.

I have low expectations, mainly due to the fact that a PG-13 rating could never do an Alien or Predator movie any justice.

I just saw it, and i thought it was pretty awesome, except for the lady towards the end, predators arent supposed to show mercy. other than that, it was pretty awesome, but dont ya think if that one huge alien didnt get crushed by rocks, that atleast a few other ones would survive too?

I just got back from it. Not too bad. In fact, it was pretty B.A. I'd recomend seeing it, but i don't think its worth seeing over, and over.

My brother said it was trash. I'm likely to agree with him. And I'm a fan of the Alien movies, and Predator 1. The plot looks so dumb, and from what I hear from my bro, the ending was not only predictable, but stupid.

I personally would have just liked to see another team of tough marines in an alien infested station and the predators just happen to drop by to enjoy the fun.

That was respect. She helped him survive, and killed an Alien in the process. I thought it was a good touch, and well within their character.

Have you seen the end of Predator 2? Remember when he's on the ship and all of them start de cloaking and drag the dead one away, then the leader type one gives him an old pistol. Seems pretty respectful much how this one sounds.

ok time to do some anti movie hater damage control...

the Predator youngblood did not show "mercy" its a thing called honor which the achent race has held above all since before the dawn of man. Think Klingons without the stupid trek stuff and 100x more honor based tribal system.

PG-13, yeah this had me wondering at the begining of it also... but then while watching it I came to understand that the victums dont live long enough to yell obsenitys and screw around with the chicks on the expedition.


Oh and lets remember that this movie is about Predator initiation/rite of passage... basicly a bloodsoaked Bar Mitzvah where the youngins get "blooded" into the clan.
