Alien vs. Predator

that was the pred that calmly ginsu'd the alien climbing down the wall... then they cut away from the scene when the 2nd facehugger jumps at him while he is branding himself.

It all kinda makes sense now, those predators died because they were newbies, but i woulda liked to see what they coulda done with the bigger of the three guns, i mean he took on like 6 of the aliens with one smaller gun. and this is just the initiation rights, the last pred was well on his way to becoming an uber hunter, well until you know. i wonder how the predator let the facehugger jump on his face, and then in the 5 minutes it didnt come out of him like it came out of the humans?

EDIT: movie time makes everything so complicated! they shouldnt leave so much up to the audience! at the end why cant they just scroll text explaining the confusing or crappy parts?

Well, I think that the current aliens were too used to incubating in humans so once the face hugger got on a pred the alien had to get used to the new type of host body.

I STILL WANT TO SEE THE PREDATOR IN ALIEN ARMOR!

and that predalien looks like a freaky rasta monster warrior now...

Just saw it myself. Personally I thought the story was lacking. I wouldn't recommend paying theater prices if you feel you have to see it, wait for it to come out on DVD/ Video, your money will be better spent.

Just saw it. I thought the Predators died way too easy even if they were newbies. But it was still a cool movie. The main Pred was really cool.

It makes more sense if your read the books. In I think it was the first Alien Vs Pred book the humans werent allowed to be hunted because they were considered more dangerous than the aliens because of their intelligence. And one Predator who was like a rebel went after the "soft skins" anyway and ended up getting capped or something. I wanted to know how they didnt figure out he had a face hugger + why didnt the predator do anything about it. The italian guy knew he had been implanted.

the "Alien" species uses its own genome and the genome of the host species to form the type of bugger that it will become after growing up. For instance in the comic you see facehugged dog's that turn into runner type of aliens, Humans spawn into the standard ripley alien and well predators spawn into something scarier...

i was all about going to see this movie until i read what it was. then i caved and went to seet the village. if this was going to be a group of predators that for some reason landed on the planet from aliens (lv214???) and they go to war, thats what i would want to see. the rites of passage sounds fairly lame when you consider where this movie came from. i think the ad people did an ultra crappy job of explaining the movie, because i was very disappointed when i found out the real storyline. this might, might, go on my netflix list in a few months.

I saw it today. Wasn't the greatest but it definatly was a step above Alien: Resurrection and Predator 2. The fight scenes were cool. The first half of the movie was great, but the last 20+ minutes was what brought it down for me, except the very end. Definatly added an interesting idea to how the Aztecs disappeared.
