    Tennis?

I went to tryouts today, and while I suck pretty badly, I can still hit it around and I know the rules pretty well. I won 3 out of 4 games on doubles against 2 awesome guys, and my partener sucked too. I'm the only freshman to make the guys team....The best part about all of it is that there are TONS of hot girls playing. So, since I have practice every day, I have a feeling that my 15 dollar wal mart wilson racket isn't gonna cut it. What is a good tennis racket for a not too serious tennis player? I have practice for 2 hours every day after school, and I think like 15 matches, and I intend on playing next year. I'll need a bag to hold my new racket and my old one, and also enough room to get some balls in there and a pair of soccer cleats. Is there anything else that I'll need? Thanks in advance

Each player is different, so there may be many different racquets that you might like.
Go to a sporting goods store that will let you demo one or more.
Look at the racquets in your price range, see how they feel in your hands, and take a few practice swings in the store.
Borrow one and try it out on the court and see how it goes.
When you pick a tennis bag don't let the salesman talk you into an expensive one.
Just pick one that serves it's purpose.
What you might put in the bag besides your racquets are extra socks, shirts, towels, band aids, extra grips, water bottle, or whatever else you think you need.
    I hope this helps.
Good luck, especially with the hot girls.

I use a Penn Force 3. Pretty light, very sturdy, havent broken any strings yet either. And it looks really nice.

Either that or a Head racket. Although Head rackets are fiarly expensive. Maybe you can find one for $50-$70ish. Those are very light and very comfy.

Because every day after I play Tennis for 2 hours, I get to go to soccer practice (which starts at 4:00, so I will be late) until 8. And because I'm late, I'll probably get to run a few extra miles, just because my coach loves me that much

Thanks for the info cope...Only thing is, I really don't know what kind of racket fits me, because I really don't have any past experience....Are some rackets longer than others, or have a larger surface area to hit the ball with? I think that I want something light, just because I feel like I'll have more control with it.

The Head intelligence racquets or a prince triple threat are all decent racquets for cheap

Prince has a bigger face, less control bigger sweetspot

Head has a smaller face, more control but a smaller sweetspot

Racquets are all about the same length.
Some companies used to make extra long racquets, but I think they stopped.
There are large headed racquets with more surface area, and standard sized ones.
I use a Prince Spectrum. It's pretty light and easy on my arm.
At this point just pick something that you are comfortable swinging and don't worry too much about any special features.
You can get a good racquet for cheap if you just look around some.
