    Video card suggestions ...

    Hey guys ... I need a suggestion for a video card that can meet the following requirements;

    -- 128-256 Meg of video ram.
    -- Video input (RCA and S-Video).
    -- Good for game playing also.

    Years ago I used to use a ATi All-in-wonder card, but it wasnt the best for game play ... any suggestions of the more recent cards that could fill all three jobs above?

          If cash is an issure I would suggest the 9600 XT, Great card and only about $150. Other wise go all out and get the 9800 XT.

              Good to see that the All-in-wonder cards are still the top pics ...

              I will check out the 9600 and 9800 and see which my pocket book (AKA wife) will allow me to get.

                most any geforce fx series card support vivo (video in video out). my 5950 fx came with a box that hooks into the card, had rca and svideo jacks in it for input and output. it plays any game on high settings right now. look through them, the fx 5700 is nvidias mid class card right now, and also feature vivo functions.

                here is a link to a fx 5700 chipset card with vivo, seems all fx cards have it:

                  most people who play games seriously and look for great performance despize the all-in-wonder cards.

                  9800pro is the best value on the market right now.

                    Im guessing you missed the part about needing video in ... I could really care less if it gets good frame rates, thats tertiary to anything else.

                    Im thinking the 9600xt is the way I am going to go. Been a long time since I used nVidia hardware but I might give them a look over.
