I think Ron Jeremy is very happy with his job. Don't know if he gets a 401K retirement though. Maybe he'll have to do a few more reality stints and cameos for retirement.

The feeling of accomplishment as well as recognition can be quite rewarding. Smaller companies often allows a more tight knit working environment and your voice or opinions can be heard.

But I agree...the ultimate job would be to enjoy life and not worry about financial burdens.

Very true. I wouldnt want to work for a large company, unless I got paid millions a year, really didnt have to do anything. All I want to have when after college, is to work somewhere that pays well, then after a few years of that, start my own business. Something that I enjoy to do, I can make a nice living and provide for myself, I get to be the boss, so I dont have to take orders from anyone, but myself. But a high percent of small businesses fail in the first year of opening, mostly resturant though, which I was thinking about opening to.

the ultimate job is the job you like so much that you dont care about money, but that aint gonna happen.

for me, it would be in writing, advertising, and art. im still wondering how to fuse those three together so i can really be happy with my career. its hard being good at so many things

meh im in the same situation except i dont really want to fly, id rather be a paratrooper or something like that instead... personally i wanna start taking one automechanic class to get a feel of if its something i like to do (because i do like working on stuff, i just never have the right tools and things end up worse off and then i get pissed off when i break even more stuff lol, although im well known at my field for ghetto rigging stuff to work lol) then if i really like it then i might go to a place like wyotech to learn how to do it for real but my parents dont want me taking car classes :\

Okay, I'm sorry to be so negitive and, frankly, an arsehole, but I can't help it...

Aside from that, if I met you in real life I would probably punch you in the face. First of all, the best job in the universe depends on what you want in a job. You didn't even MENTION that! Also, if you like cars, be a mechanic! Or, if you WANT TO FLY, become a PILOT! If I were you, I would look into all of those things. After you get a car, modify it and see if you like that. Also, join the Air Force's version of the boy scouts, if they have it there. I forget the name. And finally, NOT ALL PRODUCERS OR DIRECTORS ARE LIKE QUENTIN TARINTINO. If your going to be a director or producer, SPELL RIGHT.

Again, I am terribly sorry for being such a dick to you, but I have a few problems in my life that cause me depression to a certain extent, and I usually turn this into rage that I vent in a healthy fashion. But today the only activity that truly helps me was canceled, so I ripped into you.

                    In other news... (heh)
I have mostly the same interests as you. To me, the ultimate job would be doing nothing. I plan on most likely going to medical school and becoming either a Plastic Surgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, or Radiologist. When im 30, I should be saving about 200,000 dollars a year. If you don't believe me, www.Salary.com will vouch . These jobs pay as high as 300,000 dollars a year. Then, once I turn 40 or so, I figgure I will have enough money to start a restauraunt or club, which is what I feel my true calling is. I come from a semi-long line of restauraunters. Then, I will be running the restauraunt or club and I will be content with my life.

Sorry again, and please don't ban me mods.

I'm majoring in movie making in college(Film & Video if you want to be techincal), and it looks like it is really going to be fun. The first two years are mainly just required classes (math, english, etc), but the last 2 years will be great. I get to take all kinds of photography classes, video editing classes, movie appreication. I really hope it turns out fun.

As for my dream job, it would be making movies that inspire people.

Um... I load bombs, missles and gatlings guns for the USAF... it seems all cool and such but ive been thinking latley.

I think I want to found my own religion and or be a cult leader. That way I can have plenty of minions around to get my plethora of projects done and enjoy a tax sheilter like no other. Only problem with it is trying to keep it under the radar so the ATF and other jenet Reno stormtroopers dont lay siege on me.

For me, it would be in the R&D team at Apple Computers so that I can come up with AND play with all the gadgets and gizmos that they make way before anyone has any idea what is next in line for Apple. Also, aside from winning the lottery and doing nothing, would be being able to create anime and make the dream anime that I've had in my mind for over a year now.
