      free boat+trailerable boat=win

I worked at a freshwater marina for 3 years. I'll never own a boat that cannot be trailered.

(I'll probably never own a boat at all because they are a money sink and require time and work investment, but really into it as a primary hobby and can afford it then whatever.)

My main concern with the vacation home option boat is will the beast fit in my garage. I know I can trailer it, just not 100% sure I can store it at home.

Well, if you want the cruise/ski boat, go buy one. You are right the Sea-Doo is not got for either. But it's fun none the less. I would love to have one. What year is it? Where do you live? I honestly might be interested in buying it off you/them.

Fourty thousand grand? That's what... like $40 million??

And keep in mind, no boat is truly "free," what with maintenance and all.

My opinion of it was PWC on steriods. Certainly a good toy for 2 people to whip around on some glass with. I believe it's a 95-96 speedster 2-st 80. He had it pushed up to almost 50 in chop which was a wild ride to say the least. Boats currently located in central WI. I'm assuming by "have" they ment use with unlimted access but not a title holder. If you're interested I could certainly put you in contact though.

I already have access to a ski nautique when ever I want to trailer it from my dads house. I simply want my own boat so I'm not so paranoid about damaging some one elses equipment. Nothing worse than borrowing a boat and bringing it back with a new ding.

Yeah I realize there basicaly a floating money hole, but darn they're alot of fun.

Money sink my butt. My parents bought a 16ft outboard boat on a trailor for $3400, it was a 91 Cobia with a 70hp evenrude. It toped out at 35mph and wasn't in such great condition. However in the three years they had it about $200 in work went into it. They never covered it in the winter so the interior ripped up, got stained, paint started peeling. So they sold it this year for $2400. $1200 to have a boat for three years doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me. And they could have easially gotten more money for it, the first people who came to look at it took it and people have been calling like crazy saying they want it. It wasn't too bad on gas either, $20-$30 would do it for the day.
