I recently aquired Modest Mouse's newest album, and I actually like it. Its odd because I usualy listen to metal and stuff, but I don't know, Modest Mouse has this really mellow, care free, different sound. I really like their unique style. I call it unique because I don't think I've ever heard anything like it. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has actually listened to their album and if you liked it or not? And my favorite songs off the album are "The World At Large", "Black Cadillacs", "The Devils Workday", and god, all of them are great lol... But anyways ya...

Yeah I think they are pretty good. But if you want music that is alot like theirs, but IMO, better, be sure to check out the band 'Crooked Fingers'. Not too well known, but really damn good IMO.

Ya, I'm somewhat interested in finding some of their older stuff, but I doubt I'm going to be able to scince they didn't get big until this last album.

i have there cd to and i agree they r mellow and when i let ppl listen to it the generaly like it.

i started a thread on modest mouse a while ago...good news for people who love bad news is all right but their old stuff is definatly better. dance hall and satin in a coffin are awesome songs. their my favorite off the new album. some of my favorite songs are Trailer Trash, the fruit that ate itself, interstate 8, and dark center of the universe. i bought the album Sad Sappy Suckers a while ago, its really odd. if you like modest mouse then check out the band Franz Ferdinand. their way good too.

Ya, I noticed Franz Ferdinand have a little bit of Modest Mouseness to them, or at least in the song "Take Me Out" in the other songs they sound more like The Strokes.
