New Skis!

Used new, but they were free. My uncle races, and gave me a pair of his old ones.

Before this, I was using a pair of old beat up Elan's that were beat to hell. They were from way before the idea of a parabolic ski was even dreamed of



They'll be a little faster than I'm used to I think, but Ive been skiing for years and can't wait to try them out.

nice, you need to come to steamboat if you want to ski. The best snow around. I race and have 6 current pairs of this years volkl skiis, so i know how easy it is to give away skiis, the older ones are always the best though .

My old Elans were pieces of crap, I got them free a few years back, hadn't even been drilled for bindings. A couple trips to Castle Rock at Sugarbush where the "rock skis reccomended" sign was ignored, and they are ready to retire. I put a beating into my skis.

I usually go skiing in Vermont, at Sugarbush or Killington. I'll go in NJ because its close, but it sucks.

And yeah, my cousin went to JMVS (a skiing high school) and was on course to tryout (and probably make) the us ski team, but then he decided he was sick of racing, now he lives in Colorado and works for North Face or one of those companies. He has more skis than he can count. My uncle has a good collection, but my cousin was sponsored and got buried in skiis.

Nice Thordic!!! I Picked up a pair of Atomic SX-9s in March. Got to use them twice. Sweetest skis I've ever used. All I had to do was think what I wanted to do, and they would do it. Parabolic skis are everything they're cracked up to be.

atomic's are great skis...i have the GS SL-9's...amazing skis...do awesome on the GS course at Sunday River....

im getting a 2005 pair of salomon 2v GS skis for racing soon, hopefully.... if i dont get those than its last year's model. and i gotta pick up a pair of mogul skis for myself too

I got a free pair of Atomics a few years back for going to a seminar trying to sell us time share in Telluride. Meh, Free meal, free skis, it was worth it.

Have bindings, now I need to save up for boots.

Hah!!! I remember going to Six flags in Gurney during one vacation to visit my grandparents in Milwaukee. Everybody was in shorts and tank tops, and I was in long pants and a light jacket. It was COLD!!!

Granted that summer had been a heat wave over over 30 days of 100+ weather and I was working outside....

hehe. huricanes. luckily, last i checked the path lands right on me. im on the martin/stlucie line which on the coast due east of the north tip of lake o. that means there is no chance in hell of it ever hittin me. good surf though . no snow though
