anyone know of a place that does chrome on little pieces cheap? I have a brass ring I want chromed... anyone?

In my experience, I have found that there is no such thing as "cheap chroming".....just a little tidbit of info for ya. -

Look in your Yellow Pages (or whatever that is in the states) and look under the bathroom section you should find a cross reference to Plating companies. I used to work for a bathroom supply company and we used a local plating works to gold plate (gilding really but you know salemen
) fittings both plastic and metal and also sometimes we had to get some parts re-chromed as well. The same company often had bumpers (fenders) from classic cars in the tanks getting the treatment.

exactly. There's one place in the Des Moines metro area that does chroming and I've not heard anything good from them. oh well, I guess it's not that big of a deal anyway.Originally posted by Python14Comment
