One thing ya gotta think about though, Its not as bad if ya dont get caught . I knwo ive done a ton of crap in my car but as long as ya dont get caught it really isnt that bad.

Hmm, 53 in a 35... that's not even all that terrible. I'll bet in your mind at the time, you were thinking that you were speeding, a little. I know when I drive (maybe it's just the damn Northern Virginia mindset, gotta keep up with everybody else) that speed limits are hardly even a reccomendation, you're expected to maintain 10 or 15 over. *shrugs*

i passed a cop going 85-90 in a 55 today and he didnt bat an eye.

although i was driving my dads truck down an empty gravel road in the middle of nowhere iowa.

I was driving to Vegas one time in a rental Durango from Los Angeles. There is a big stretch of the 15 freeway that is straight, flat, featureless desert road, and at night it's so dark you can't see ANYTHING on the side of the road.

I'm cruising, there's no traffic to speak of, so I'm not really watching any guages or anything, just enjoying the music, thinking about a trip to vegas, and staying on the road.

Suddenly, I pass the neon thermometer (a major landmark on the trip) about an hour sooner then I should have.

and it flew by REALLY fast.

I was doing 130. The truck was so heavy and stable, and the road so flat, it didn't feel a bit over 80.

In what may have been the stupidest thing I ever did in a car, I decided "the heck with it", and kept going.

I make it from LA to vegas in just over 3 hours.

at that speed, I'm pretty sure they don't give you a ticket, I'm almost certain they just shoot you on sight. ;-)

I did 115 up 5 in my red 3000GT from the grape vine to firebaugh coming home from the WDP tech training. They didn't let us out until 5 that night and I had a composite engineering midterm.


Hey kept saying, "Red cars are radar bait" . We didnt see a single cop until we stopped for gas. Then we saw 3 cops behind one pulled over truck.

Oh yeah this was night too. During the day I wouldnt risk it.
