Because they seem to be used I really think he had a store he closed. Thats his rentals and used stuff. The fact he mentions it as a store seems to tip it off.

no but close... video rental.. I had the chance a couple years ago to get my fingers on a truck load of n64's,ps and their games when a local store went belly up. But I passed.

The guy has sold a bunch of lots like that, both movies and DVD's, as well as some single DVD's. Either stolen or a store no way to really tell. And it wouldn't be hard at all to rip off that much stuff, just grab entire boxes of stuff from the back of a store.
