i have at least three mantis egg cocoon things on my front porch. have you ever seen how many come out when they hatch...it's almost freaky.

I dont know about the legality of it but we used to catch those when i was a kid. One of those in a jar with a handful of crickets.........Ah good times.

It used to be illegal to kill them, I don't think so anymore.

But you shouldn't kill them. They eat tons of bugs. If you have a ton of mantises (manti?) around your house, you'll have less bug problems.
