warlock guitars

i really havent played much of em..i pl;ayed a cheap bronze one a few times in a sotre, just messing around

but right now, ive been asked to join a death,black, thrash metal band...

so im asking, if i pick up a warlock platinum series (not pro, just regualr)....

what should i do to it, im not going for seven strings either.... ...

but i need some opinions....i play lead, and i do vocals...

I personally think theyre ugly and dont see why you would get one over a nice guitar.

Okay, heres my 2 cents. I personally HATE BC Rich guitars, except a few random models from back in the day, and warlock just happens to be my least favorite out of all models. Now, I have played a USA made warlock and it was pretty nice. But i just hate warlock, you could get a better guitar from ibanez or jackson or ESP or charvel if you going for that "metal" guitar kinda thing.

Now, I play a Les Paul in a metal/grind band and it does wonders. Its tuned down to C and those humbuckers mixed with a Mesa Trip, I get some awesome tones.

Okay, if you do get a warlock, you should get a floyd rose and a locking nut on it definetly. Then, get some new pickups for it, maybe some Seymour Duncans or something. Then, get some locking tuners. Lastly, this is the most important unpgrade you could do to it, replace the neck, and the body with jackson stuff, it will make it better.

Also, you should ask these guys if they tune down at all (I can't imagine a good black metal band not tuned down...) and if they do, what they tune down to, because that can give you an idea on what strings to put on and all that stuff.

i have a few nice guitars, but those dont have enough space for our logo to be put on...and plus, i like warlocks looks alot

Well if you like the looks, then go for it, but i would suggest getting one of the higher level ones.

But, what about putting your logo on a guitar? I would say that isnt as important as playing a nice guitar.

They're really ugly IMO. Actually they make me laugh.. I dont know about you but they just scream wanna be at me.. maybe thats just my perception.

well im replacing prety much everything but the body....

gona pick up a custom neck....with custom frets with a cool design on it....

and the reason the look i need, is it literally fits the design almost PERFECT....

yeah, im dropping alot into this for quality...

oh yeah, and im using dice for tuning knobs....its freaking sweet..both sides say 6, 6, 6

i have quality guitars already, for mostly and recording, i use a gibson sg, from back in 1960 something (the guy who sold it bought it to play guitar, and never strummed it)

and i have an ibanez, and i hate it more than my epiphone......seriously...

i just wanted to see what i should do to it, becuase i will be new to warlocks

My friend had a replica Slipknot warlock with the HATE inlays and all, he paid like $800 or something then he wound up selling it but swaped out the pickups in his Ibanez that I currently own I like the look but they are not my style, I used to have a bronze series Bich, it sucked.

I really do not like BC Rich guitars in the slighest...

Why don't you look at getting an ESP? You can get them in that "scary" look, but they aren't overdone... plus I personally find them to be a better guitar.

Okay, if your relacing the neck and stuff, DONT get a cheap BC rich body, go to www.warmoth.com. They make warlock style bodies and their parts are the best. Just make a custom guitar through them and you can create whatever you want, exactly how you want it.
