When I was a freshman in college a senior took me under his wing and told me the rules of flirting. I don't remember them all, but one of them was definetely:
Do not flirt with waitresses...
Reason: Everyone flirts with them. It is, therefore, a low class move. AND, if they flirt back, the chances are they want to increase their tip and no other reason.
