2 things do not make sense to me
1-a honda bike going over 200, or anywhere near it
2-if the bike was going 2 tiems faster than the place, how was officer barbrady able to click his little stopwatch accurately?
i know he wasnt going 205 as stated above, that is a given. but i would def want to keep it at 205 instaed of 160. you are screwed either way, so go for the glory

a couple of friends and i clocked one of my friends going 156 mph on a back road and we got it on video.
he was driving an extremely modified honda 600 and he said he will never go over 90 again because it gets all shaky. when he got off the bike he pukedoriginally posted by quik

I dunno, doing 200mph would not be all that hard on most sports bikes. I mean hell I have done 140 on an old KZ650. Getting another 60mph out of a new bike would not be that hard.
As for how the plane could clock him, it's all about distance and angles. Also, when clocking with a stop watch over 1/4 mile, it's pretty accurate. You are going to be within 10mph.

Yea I heard that too, he called into 93X.Originally posted by Toro216guyHate to ruin your good fun but I live in Minnesota and yesterday the guy called into a local radio show. He really wasn't doing 205 and his bike even with mods can't go that fast. In the story they clocked him using a stopwatch, which is not very acturate. I have to admit this story is very instresting, but there was no way he was going 205Comment

may of 03when was this hoppy?
i had a 5 month license suspension,
650$ ticket
300$ license reinstatemnet fee ( after the 5 months was over)
90$ eight hour class on a saturday ( criminal drivers ed)
that was after 2 apearences before the registrar and some other officials, and i just got a letter in the mail saying i have a court date to apeal my ticket. A OVER A FREAKING YEAR AFTER I PAYED THE TICKET you cant tell me the RMV are morons.
back to the story about the bike
areo dynamics wise. i think he would have actualy lifted off the ground before he reached 200"You have not converted a man because you have silenced him." -John Morley

I had a friend clocked at 190MPH in a 55 on a race bike (he raced professionally)
Cop was waiting in his driveway when he came home - bike was not street legal (no lights), and was nto insured, was not licensed etc. Cop ended up not showing up in court and he won the disptue of the ticket. As everyone already said. No way he was going 205. 160-175 ...maybe.
I only wished I lived in Minnesota. My 90 in a 55 got me handcuffed, searched, vehicle search and straight to court. $450 later and about 2 hours I was back to my car which was left on the side of the road. New York is the vampire state. It'll bleed you dry!!Comment

Sounds pretty damn stupid to me.Originally posted by cphilipWreckless driving is normaly (or can be cited at least) anything over 25 mph over the posted speed limit (state by state thing).
Moral of the story: If you're going to speed, go as fast as you can....
To think that in some European jurisdictions you can have you licence revoked for doing 30kph over the limit.Comment

Ok, all of you people saying it couldn't have gone that fast, do you actually know anything about bikes. A 1000cc sport bike is going to hit at least 170-180 stock. The Suzuki Hayabusa tops at 189 I believe (electronically limited). Before they limited them, they topped at over 190. Stock. Throw an exhaust system, and performance intake, slightly smaller rear sprocket and over 200 would not be hard at all. Think, these bikes only weigh maybe 500-600 bs with a rider, and their putting out over 150 hp. Hard to get that good of a power to weight ratio out of a car.Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix
