I dunno about that. 1000 cc production bike? I don't think so. Maybe 160 - 180 with some bolt on mods. In fact the fastest record I can find of a production 1000cc bike is 182. Push rod. Not much faster in the non push rods but a tad. Not until you get to the higly modifieds from the internals out do you start seeing 200 plus. And this guy had a production bike it seems. He could have done some stuff. But if he hit that speed he is a new record holder for a production bike NO MATTER what mods he did to it. But still I doubt he did hit that speed. Here are the records of Stock 1000cc bikes. And even they are a bit modified.

I do see a "unlimited CC" category where this bike did 242.352! Its bigger than 3000cc and modified agressively.

Well, I know you do bill

But everyone who is saying 200 can't be hit by a bike obviously hasn't.

Everyone seems to be getting closer to 250 these days.

                    Hasn't what?

I don' think anyone is claiming 200 can't be hit. But most of us seriously doubt a 1000 cc fairly much stock bike can do it... Even many real professionals modify them and try and try... and do not succeed. A bigger bike motor and yea... its done. And done repeatedly. I think people are just doubting THIS guys bike could have done it. And probably that is the case. Unless we hear later he strapped a Jato on to it....

There are a few bikes that have gotten over the 200 mark and are getting closer to 250. I think 250 is still off in the distance though.

I've got a friend who has/had a turbo Hayabusa. Says 220mph on a toll road is cool.

No thank you. I've ridden bikes most of my life but no way in hell I'm doing that.
