And no, I am not a "skate punk", I can't even stand on one of those damn things. I actually carry a bit of distaste for most skaters, but the fact that he put someone who took their power too far on the spot is awesome.

Politicians, from the Mayor all the way up to the President, think they have too much power. A normal lowly citizen knocking them off their high-horses is praise-worhty in almost every scenario.

Too bad our population is too large and far spread to utilize a direct democracy.

The DA will look at this, roll his eyes, and push it off his desk, nothing will come of it. The cops who were so helpful to you in person, rolled there eyes, went and talked to the guy that can do things for them, and it went away.

What you did succeed at doing was causing a hassle for the man who "basically runs things".

Yup. They forget... in politics you gotta be buddy buddy - or you can be hurt politically by someone like the mayor. I'd be really surprised if they do anything to him. Judges let people get off with self-defense instead of murder, because of political reasons - let alone some skateboard issue.

lol looks like I'm doing all the pissing off latly. And I think we can both agree that post have nothing to do with it.

Look I'm not passing judgment on anyone. That's not cool for some one to take your board.... bad karma I'd say... but the attitude that kids have now a days just causes trouble. I have been around a little, even have my share of "skater" friends. They are pretty cool to me but their attitudes stink... unfortunatly. And this story like so many, just makes ppl like skaters less. You'll understand when you grow up...maybe, I also know some 30 yr old that think skating is still cool when every one else has a house, boat, two cars and a wife but what ever.

So you used the legal system to make a point, cudos, longterm.... you got a major that hates skaters now... way to go. If you wanted to make things better youd find out where the mayor lives and apologize respectfully... maybe he would be more sypathetic to your cause and who knows... you might end up with a really cool skate park... not to mension, you mihgt get your boards back

On that note, if he's still a jerk about it, well that's his problem. If YOU did the right thing you got nothing to be sorry about.

I know where the mayor lives, and before this, he has told me to take my 'playing' somewhere else. He's also hated skateboarding the day he saw me, or any skaters. I dont know why, but for some reason alot of people really do dislike our 'sport'.

I dont know, I dont know what to say. I feel I did the right thing, Im not trying to go 'haha nana booboo' though, thats for sure.
