The fishing rod from hell, may it rest in pieces

I swear this rod is straight from hell or somthing, I have had it for four years and never gotten a fish on it. Everyone else around me will be pulling them in but not me, not with this rod, I pick up a differant rod and everything is great.
So far this year the line on that real has basically disintigrated the the point where a gentle tug breaks two times despite proper care (reals with the same line that are used more often have this problem), it's been through two rod tips, and for some reason every time somthing actually is on the line it will break half way between me and the fish.
Well this morning I went to the beach with it, and my first cast I got a 24in bass (4in too short to keep). The next cast I took after that the rod snapped. I guess it couldn't live with knowing that I actually got a fish on it.

I have absolutly nothing better to do right now so I felt like sharing this.

burn! let it burn in the depths of davy jones locker!

or maybe your just not a good fisherman

but beach bass fishing is pretty unreliable...

to cheer myself up i go porgy/seabass fishing

youll pull up 200 fish in the matter of an hour or so.
    (with the right bait/chum)

porgies (scup) are a favorite of commercial fisherman, and depending on the size, you could get a pretty penny for a decent amount.

and seabass are one of, if not THE best tasting fish around (atleast on long island), not to be confused with chillian seabass which is fugly, and doesnt taste anything like it. (the good stuff is black sea bass)

Yeah your pole is better because mine is in three pieces That and it was a $65 combo.
My good pole isn't quite such a POS.
I don't think anyone actually goes to the beach with the intention of bass fishing, I went for blues but they happend to be around. And i'm talking about stipped bass which get nowhere near 200lbs, I think wer're talking about two differant fish.

I just got into fishing this summer. Mostly just brook trout. We'd catch tons of em. Small enough where you could just eat the bones. I'm at school now, and we have a creek that goes behind my house. I swear to god I'm cursed or something. I can't get anything. I get nibbles, but then nothin. I've fished so much back there and still havn't caught anything. I need to catch something back there before I graduate, or I'll feel like a loser.

Like me and that damn rod, four years probably a hundred times that rod has been used and one fish. Tons of bites, hooked tons of fish only to have the line break. I have to drive about two hours if I want to fish in fresh water, and most spots are overfished
