    Best MP3 Player

What is the best MP3 player for 300 dollars or less?

All I really want is 20 GB harddrive, and the ability to hook up to my car stereo through the cigarrete lighter socket.

Out of most reviews they found the Apple I-Pod the best...

I've owned every single generation of iPods, and I'll tell you this, they only are getting better.

I reccomend a 20GB iPod for 299, or you can find them on ebay for cheaper.

        Best out there.

I dunno what ic costs, but I like the looks of that new Sony one. Only downside is that it dosn't (yet) support the mp3 format. But I think they're updating the firmware soon.

I have to go with the iPod as well. My wife and I just switched over to Mac from PC, and got an iPod with our Powerbook, and I absolutely love it...

I would love to suggest something that isn't quite so mainstream, works better, and isn't the current hip and cool thing to have...but I can't. IPods are just so nice...

Not saying there aren't good alternatives though.

Well the general consensus seems to be leaning towards the I-Pod, so I guess that is what I shall purchase.

Psh, shop around. iPod is definitely good, but probably not the best out.

I plan on getting the iAudio soon.

im going to go with what wickedklown said and say the nwhd1 by sony. its smaller holds as much as a 40 gig ipod and has better battery life. the fact that it doesnt support mp3 is nothing cause you can convert from mp3 to atrac3 which is the format it uses.
