ill list all the schools i now have a team and made the trip (meaning dedicated) to come to nationals. there were about 40 other teams there.. check the following link to see who came (just look at the points for nationals)

and here is a rankings list. look at the top teams.. they obviously compete.. if you look on the site there are like hundreds of schools with clubs. but if you want one that competees..

phil, do you go to any of the NCPA tournies? there is one this weekend that ERAU is attending.. its out side of dalton georgia i believe

not sure what your relation is with clemson, but i usually hear your name associated with them.. just wondering.

ugh none of the schools i am applying to have a paintball team that competes, adn that is someting that i really wanted to do in college.

you can always start up a club man.. that is for sure.

my school had a woodsball club and my best friend changed some stuff and organized a tourny club etc etc and so forth.. its possible if you wannna do it

Colleges

I graduated from DePaul (Lincoln Park campus) and it is a very good school. Not a shot at the guy from UIC, but UIC is not considered to be a very good school and is not in the same league as U of I in Champaign. I am from Illinois too and I moved to the Lincoln Park campus and really enjoyed it. I would however suggest going away for school. DePaul is not a big party scene, but some cool bars - also no frat houses. Check out some of the big ten schools almost all have paintball teams. Good luck.

UIC in the past 10 years has excelled so much. The engineering department is very good. 20 years ago UIC wasn't a very good school at all, but the push they have been doing is very good. The gap between UIC and DePaul is pretty much non-existent anymore, 10 years ago, DePaul was far ahead of UIC though. U of I Champaign though is definitely ahead of UIC, just because of the fact that it is a big 10 school, and people with high ACT and SAT scores go for well known colleges. My dad is into college administration and has worked at UIC, DePaul, and U of I Champaign and he'll tell you, if you get into U of I, go for it, but if you don't UIC is the next best choice.

Sorry, I should have qualified my comment. I don't have an engineering background and my comment was based on my hiring experience and the way my business views different schools, but again we are not hiring engineers.

Good luck again in the school choice - I wish paintball was a bigger college sport when I was going to school.
