I like most of the movies you have listed there. Good combination. If you like Samarai movies check out Ghost Dog. Its a cool movie where samarai meets urban. Also to add to a list of movies to check out are Dead Man, done by same guy who did Ghost Dog. An interesting movie which i personally liked was Samarai Fiction, although it may be under another name, it is in Japanese and is done more like a rock video its really interesting. Se7en is an excellent movie aswell. The Shawshank Redemption is really good and they are rereleasing it on dvd and maybe in theatres since its 10th anniversary. Also check out some films by the Coens. They did Raising Arizona, The Hudsucker Proxy, and The Big Lebowski, along with Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?

Some personal favorites would be EVIL DEAD, EVIL DEAD 2, ARMY OF DARKNESS, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I can name probably hundreds of movies I love but pretty much all that are listed are favorites.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (my personal favorite)
            Se7en
            12 Monkeys
            Kill Bill 1/2
            Fight Club
            Dogma
            Office Space
            Magnolia

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is the best movie ever made.... period. Nothing can beat the acting, nothing can beat the screenplay, nothing can beat its soundtrack, nothing can beat its use of words, and nothing can beat its meaning. If you truly like movies, and you can see past all the big budget bull-shi* that makes it onto the screen these days, you will love this movie for all it has to offer, and it has so much to offer itll punch you right in the face.

Magnolia is another one for serious movie-goers. The ending will make you go crazy.

Kill Bill 1/2 just rock *** for being artistic.

Se7en will drop your jaw and make you sit on edge for 2 hours

Fight Club is filled with a ton of hidden deep meaning.
Yummy yummy yummy, I've got fun in my tummy.

The Evil Dead and Army of Darkness movies are great. I don't care what any one says but The Punisher was a great movie. Except John Travolta didnt match the character he was supposed to play. Also I liked 3000 Miles to Graceland.

yeah thats why i liked it, not cause of the senseless violence
yeah i saw ghost dog, didnt like it as much as the 70s martial arts flicks, but good none the less
also thanks for reminding me about anything by kevin smith or the coen brothers (cept the lady killers), cant beleive i forgot those

nobody answered the question about seven years in tibet

also if i can throw in another topic, what do you all think of CG in movies these days, i personally think its destroying cinema by letting people make 'bigger' explosions for less cash, thus making them rediculous and unbeleiveable

dont forget about The Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. Jim Carrey is an insanely good drama actor, quite suprising after seeing some of his comedy. I adore that movie.
