so its the first game that i play while im there. we are in the woods of alabama, about to play- this is at AAA paintball. well anyway we see a deer in the woods about 30 ft beyond the tape nearest to us. so some moron wiht a bushmaster is like "im gonna try to hit that thing with my paintball gun..."and starts shooting at the deer. the deer runs forward into the barbed wire seperating one edge of the field from an open crop-growing area. the deer is thrashing about, caught in the barbed wire- it broke its own neck, stumbled off about 20 ft, and died. my friends found the dead body at the end of the day. it was like some weird omen, but it was a good day of paintball nonetheless. i was just wondering if someone else has seen a big creature kill itself like this. it was quite tragic, beacuse deer seem so noble despite the fact that they are a pest in alabama and pretty stupid animals.
weirdest thing happened to me at the paintball field recently...

Sounds more like the person who would shoot a deer with a paintgun.Originally posted by sbikeclix

While deer populations should be kept in check with legal hunting - harrassing the wild life is despictable and rediculous. The person should be ashame of him self...

I saw a deer do something like that
there is a park near my house where there are quite a few deer and the city has taken a substancial portion of their land. One rainy night while driving on a road leaving the park with two lanes and fast constant traffic, a big, and I mean big, deer with a large rack of antlers ran in front of the car that my dad and I were in and jumped accross the lane left of us into traffic that was moving the other way that we were going. I wish we had hit the dear, because we were going about ten miles per hour and the traffic in the other lane was doing about thirty to fourty miles per hour. The deer jumped and almost cleared the lane but was slammed by a car in the hind legs area. The deer spun around and flew off of the road. It probably died whereas it would have been hurt but lived if we had hit the deer. The animal totally crushed the roof of the car that had hit it and we pulled over to help them. The police came but didn't do anything for the deer that was probably terribly injured, they only wrote the account down and left the scene.Comment

i live on a houseboat in minnesota. and during the warm months here we play on the islands, they have excelent trails from the animals. but before ANYONE goes out i warn them that if the even try to shoot at ANY wildlife they better be darn sure they can win in a fight cuz otherwise they will leave my island in a great deal of pain. and never be allowed to play with us ever again. A bullet is one thing. a welt on an innocent animal is completely different.i dont like signatures. so i turned them off. AO is much better this way.Comment

Ever tried couch fishing? i have. ever woke up and jumped out your door (this question applies to all but footemps who i believe would). done it.
I look at people mowing their lawns and laugh. i love the boat. everyone that comes over wants one. hehe. its great.i dont like signatures. so i turned them off. AO is much better this way.Comment

Guys out playing paintball can't do much to help a hurt animal the size of a deer. Unless they want a hoofprint in their head for their efforts. Personally I would never get close to any animal that size that is hurt. Dead, maybe, but not hurt. They can really put up a fight! I still will take out that dang rabbit that's chewing up my yard landscaping, though!

Living on a houseboat sounds nice, but I'm guessing those Minnesota winters can make it interesting! I'll take mowing the lawn over painting the bottom of a boat anyday! Plus, if my basement develops a leak, it's not life threatening!
