There are AIM viruses like that, my friends computer was infected by one. It looks like they are sending you a link (which they don't see on their end, the virus sends it), and the link is to a virus, which will then infect your AIM client and keep spreading the same way. Some of them go through your buddy list and try to send themselves to everyone. If you use Gaim, Trillian or some other 3rd party client, you probably don't need to worry too much. But I'd still use some AV software.

i hate to say this.... but the main way to find someones sn is thru forums. EEK! They do searches for your screen name, or u do a search for buddies on AIM. Just type like S and ull get like 500 results..
