No idea wtf a skoad is, but there;s a huge difference between goths and dirtys.

Dirtys are the kids that are well... dirty, and everybody hates them because of it. Goths think everybody hates them and say they do it to be different, but in reality they're all the same.

For the most part, the goths that you seem to think are "all doing it to be different, but turn out to be the same hurr hurr hurr" are in fact simply enjoying life in a fashion that's different from yours. I'm sure you wouldn't say you're part of a group you could be lumped in (skater, surfer, prep, jock etc etc) to be different...why would a goth/punk?

For the record, Yeah, I do know what I'm talking about. I think working for a punk production company for two years and consistantly being called a goth (and hell, not owning non-black clothing helps that) kinda gives me some say in this.

Being involved in a community of like-minded people which isn't viewed as 'normal' does not mean you're doing it for attention-- Would you say you're an AO member for attention, or any other member is?

I get called a goth all the time too due to the fact that all I wear are b;ack band shirts, but I'm just stating how the majority of the so-called "goths" at my school act.
