Ok...so back to the topic....
I know most people are against this, but I don't really see why. Everyone's basically already a number in the form of SS and Driver's License numbers, with signatures just being a way of verifying that you are your number.
AGD - "I WILL KEEEELLL YOU ALLLLL! then we love you long time...."
quik -"10 round tubes and 1/2 naked asians? This cant be good."

We already offer a national ID. It is called your passport!
THis bill is to help standardize the format of all d/l nationwide. Check out your state. They are all changing to pretty much the same format. It makes it easier for Law Enforcement to identify fakes faster.Comment

They should just encode the ID into a RFID chip and implant it under your skin. Like in your hand or your head. Just a thought...

Sometimes it important to consider reactions to ideas.

Try to implant an identification chip in me i'm going to implant a bullet in your brain. I don't even like this whole card idea either. We really are going overboard. I would rather run the chance of someone blowing me up then having to deal with too much security. Not that this pushes it over the edge, but it is one step closesr, and that damn patriot act was a giant leap foward. If Kerry attacked the patriot act I might think about voting for him.
