"At this hour, President Bush has won re-election as president by a 47 percent to 43 percent margin in the popular vote nationwide. Ralph Nader has 1 percent of the vote nationwide. That's with 51 percent of the precincts reporting."

I don't buy into political posts, but I find it interesting that this even got wired out by AP in the first place. And with the political mood... yeah... Now the fun part will be if it actually "happens" that way, huh?

What Al Gore said was "while in the senate, I took the initiative in creating the internet." Which is patently false, as the internet existed in a rudimentary form long before Gore entered the Senate, and even the version of the internet we know as the "world wide web" was invented without his help. What he DID DO was support/initiate federal funding to develop and expand the internet. He deserves some praise for that, but not as much as he seemed to claim.

We have a winner. He helped with funding. However the internet dates back far before his time, so he did not invent it.
