Did your friend ever consider that a ninja costume with a pant leg on his head might make the employees nervous enough to call the police? Or perhaps just made the cop suspicious?Pant leg comes down, hides the face add weapon and you have instant robber. I know it sounds far fetched to some but it is definitely plausible. Better the cop make sure than to walk away from a violent crime that could have been prevented.

Also, when you people ask for "cop advice" please say which state you live in. The laws vary widely from state to state.

ha ha now that i look back me and some friends were playin paintball in the woods on my friends property, we then walked nextdoor to the restuarant still wearing cammo with our guns in our back packs.( i think a barrel might have been sticking out, and we had masks in our hands) and there was a cop sitting there, and i saw it, so did one of my friends. he undid the snap on his holster like he was gunna have to make a quick draw on us ( 3 like... 12 year old kids)

        From CNN October 11, 2004

DALLAS, Texas (AP) -- A 12-year-old girl upset about being grounded by her mother fatally shot the woman in the face while she slept, Texas police said....

I mean what could that police officer had been thinking?

i decided to re word it.... just because something has happened in the past ( or in this case hasnt happened yet) doesnt give the police the right to do that. i take it as an insult that hes gunna do that.

                            In MN, they can...

Well lets see. In MN they can arrest you for conceiling your identity, and that has been a law for decades. You are required to have a form of govt. ID with you at all times, again been around for years. That one is only used when they suspect you of doing something and want to insure they find out. It's hard to say you're someone else when they run your prints. Police can follow you for as long as they want. They can even park in the street outside your house and come up and knock on your front door, if they followed you home, to ask for your driver's license and proof of insurance. Alot of things can be done under what is called "Good Faith" judges will allow questionable acts by police if they feel the officers were acting in "good faith" during the search/stop/questioning/etc.
