the gallon challenge and its consequences

well i saw this http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?threadid=685262 thread over in PBN and had to bring it here. it IS possible, i have seen it done.

but..... the thing is that the next day the guy started throwing up blood and having crazy chest pains, he went to the hospital and apparently something in his stomach had disconnected and was bleeding like crazy, he had to have surgery to re-attach it and was in the hospital for almost two weeks, he almost died in surgery too. im not joking at all on that, the moral of the story is that drinking an entire gallon of milk can be a death sentence so dont try it!

Hmm, i've killed a half gallon of milk within five mintues just because I was thirsty. I don't see why I couldn't do a gallon in an hour.

No, what is really a death sentence is eating a whole loaf of bread, and then chugging the gallon of water.

I have won my fair share of milk drinking contests. Oddly, milk is easier to get down in Choco form, or when it's starting to get warm. Cold milk is a bit more of a challenge.

Unless you are a freak this stunt is impossiable. Milk has a sugar in it called Lactose and your body has special enzyme to break down this sugar called lactase. People who are lactose intollerant don't produce a whole lot of lactase and therefore their body cannot break down the milk they drink. Even if you are very healthy person your body doesn't have a ton of lactase on demand on the off chance you just might drink a gallon of milk in a short period of time. So as you drink the milk and your bodies supplie of lactase runs thin you are pretty much screwed. Your stomach is only so big and your body can only process so much lactose at a time. Not to mention that you'll have some mad cramps afterwards.

I can do 1% in an hour, ive done it more than once to prove non-believers. No, i dont feel right afterwords, but i dont throw up. I usually feel fine again after an hour or two pass. I tried whole milk once, that was a disaster. I was cocky and said i could not only do it in under an hour, but id do it in under 30 min and still keep it down. I got it all in me, but it didnt stay there for more than a couple minutes. Ive never done another challenge, with any kind of milk after that experience. I may be able to do it in an hour, but i dont want to try.

I may have to try it, My Dad used to be a milkman when I was younger and I averaged about 2 gallons a day by myself (it does a body good )

Does chocolate milk count? I can drink a 1/2 gallon of that in about 3 hits.
